Tribeca Music Studio is a private music studio located in the heart of Manhattan. Founded by vocalist Dori Levine and Pianist & Conductor Giacomo Franci, our powerful team has been helping students grow, reach their potential, explore their musicality and express their feelings through music since 1993. With 30+ years combined teaching experience, we strive to provide every student with the best possible learning process.
We specialize in both piano and voice lessons, offering individualized instruction in a comfortable and stimulating environment. Our knowledgeable instructors have won several awards such as a Scholarship of Saluzzo Scuola Di Alto Perfezionamento MD in Piano and World Premieres Recording Complete Piano Works by Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinsky. We serve the five boroughs of New York City , New Jersey and Long Island both online and in-person, so everyone can benefit from our services regardless of their location or budget.
Background
Dori brings over 30 years of experience performing at major venues across NYC and teaching music. Her rich musical background includes private vocal studies with master teachers like Lennie Tristano and Jay Clayton. She has also fine-tuned her piano skills through lessons with Connie Crothers and other esteemed musicians. With her extensive experience and in-depth understanding of music, Dori is a significant contributor to the high-quality instruction offered at Tribeca Music Studio.
For over two decades, Dori Levine has been enchanting audiences in and around New York City and overseas with her exceptional performances in clubs and concerts. With her unique improvisational style, Dori effortlessly interprets a wide range of material, from standards and blues to her own "otherworldly" free improvisations.
Her daring abandon into the art of scat singing has garnered her recognition and developed her own distinctive style. Dori has graced major venues such as The Blue Note, Birdland, The Knitting Factory, and Steinway Hall in NYC, and has collaborated with acclaimed artists, including Dara Birnbaum, whose work is in M.O.M.A's permanent collection. She has also sung with Kirk Nurock's "Natural Sounds Ensemble'' at Carnegie Hall and with Jay Clayton's "Different Voices" vocal ensemble. Her performances have taken her across the globe to Sweden, Finland, Italy, and the Brighton Festival in England.

Giacomo Franci a globally recognized musician with a rich educational background and extensive performing experience. He graduated from Italy's Istituto Musicale Boccherini di Lucca and Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento di Saluzzo with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Piano respectively, and specialized in Orchestra Conducting at Teatro di Pisa. Franci has performed in prestigious concert halls like Carnegie Hall and Shanghai Oriental Art Center, soloed with top orchestras such as The Beijing Symphony Orchestra, and conducted esteemed orchestras including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. His extensive global performance and teaching experience make him an exceptional mentor for students at the Tribeca Music Studio.
Giacomo Franci is a world-renowned pianist, conductor, and artistic director of The New York Chamber Players, an orchestra he founded in 2004. He gained recognition as the leading interpreter of Aaron Copland's music with his acclaimed world premiere recording, "The Complete Edited Piano Works by A. Copland." He also recorded the world premiere of "Igor Stravinsky: The Complete Published Piano Works," which received high praise from Audio Review Magazine.
Franci has performed at prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Recital Hall, and has been featured as a soloist with numerous orchestras across the world. He studied under renowned musicians and conductors, including Aldo Ciccolini, and has been featured in radio and television shows. When not performing, he teaches aspiring pianists and singers at The Tribeca Music Studio.
